Even though FC Bayern were crowned European champions just over a fortnight ago, the new season is just around the corner.
In this post, we’re gonna give you the complete guide on what channel is broadcasting games from all the major leagues and competitions, and through what streaming service you can watch those games via playmoTV DNS.
UEFA Champions League and Europa League
CBS Sports will broadcast the Champions League and Europa League from August 2020 until the end of the 2023/2024 season. CBS is not available on any live TV platform, so if you wanna watch the Champions League you will have to do so through CBS All Access.
CBS All Access costs $5.99/month with commercial, or $9.99/month for the commercial free plan. Those who subscribe to Apple TV+ can get a CBS All Access and Showtime bundle for $9.99/month (sold for separately for $9.99 and $10.99/month).
playmoTV DNS supports CBS All Access.
English Premier League
NBC has the broadcasting rights to the EPL, but this season some things will change regarding viewing possibilities.
Televised Premier League games will continue to be aired on live on NBC and NBC SN (SN = Sports Network). You can watch these channels through Sling Blue, fuboTV and Hulu Live.
The games shown on NBC SN will also be available in the NBC Sports application, which requires cable provider authentication from Sling TV, fuboTV, Hulu Live or a US cable provider.
We support all these services, but we recommend Sling, and their Sling Blue plan for those interested in the Premier League.
Non-televised games
The games that are not televised in broadcast or cable TV will be available via Peacock Premium. Last season they were available via the NBC Sports Gold app through a subscription called Premier League Pass, but will now be available through Peacock.
Peacock Premium costs $4.99/month. The service also has an ad-free option, but that’s not necessary to watch Premier League games on Peacock Premium.
We’re happy to say that playmoTV DNS supports Peacock.
Other English leagues and competitions: The lower leagues, FA Cup and League Cup in England will be streamed on ESPN+.
ESPN+ costs $5.99/month.
Spain – La Liga and France Ligue 1
For the upcoming season, La Liga and Ligue 1 games will be aired on beIN SPORTS.
You can watch beIN SPORTS on fuboTV or on Sling TV.
beIN SPORTS is available on Sling as part of the “World Sports” extra package. To add World Sports to your Sling package you need to go to the Sling account management page, click “Add Other Language” and pick World Sports from the bottom of that list.
It’s worth noting that Sling TV is significantly cheaper than fuboTV. The Sling TV Blue basic package costs $30/month and the World Sports Extra is $10, a total of $40/month. In comparison, fuboTV starts at $64.99/month.
Germany – Bundesliga and Italy – Serie A
The German Bundesliga will be streaming on ESPN+ starting this season.
ESPN+ will also be the home of the Italian Serie A. Last season some games were aired on ESPN (available via Sling Orange) but it remains to be seen whether that will continue or if the Serie A will be exclusive to ESPN+.
